A team of duo artists made up in 2012 when they were in charge of management for Sakae Sugano (1947-2016), painter from Yamagata. They are involved in a wide range of activities including curation, planning compositions and design for exhibitions, as well as planning, production and publication of artist books, and artist management. Exhibitions they curated include “Sakae Sugano—Hello Everybody!” (Towada Art Center, 2010), “Sakae Sugano—trace the life” (Yamagata Biennale 2014), “Sakae Sugano—pose of repose” (Yamagata Biennale 2016), “TOCHKA Playground!” (Manabia Terrace, Higashine City Museum, Yamagata, 2017). In Yamagata Biennale 2018, they created display composition and design for the project exhibition “Gendai Yamagata Ko” (Studies on Contemporary Yamagata). Artist books that they planned, produced and published include Sakae Sugano’s FLAMENCO SKETCHES and Motoyuki Shitamichi’s Sunday Painter (popular edition). They have been working on designs of exhibition materials of Yamagata Geijutsu Kaiwai since 2017 and are involved in management and curation for the group.In this time, They direct the exhibition of Yamagata Geijutsu Kaiwai.
