Visual design studio based in Tokyo, Sendai city, Miyagi, and London. WOW carries out a wide range of design work that transcends bounds between existing media and genres, ranging from advertising such as commercials and concept videos featuring diverse video imagery, to production of video installations in various spaces, to user interface design jointly developed with manufacturers. In recent years the studio has actively created original artworks and products, and staged numerous installations in Japan and abroad. WOW continues to pursue new possibilities for the moving image so as to fulfill the social functions of visual design while bringing creators’ sensibilities fully to the fore.
