Born in Tokyo. Completed a master’s degree in fine arts at Tokyo University of the Arts. After walking animal trails, primarily in Hokkaido, Horiba collects fragments of the living things that inhabit the area, such as deer horns and bones, bird feathers, branches, and leaves, and uses them to create three-dimensional works.
